I’m the kind of person who loves the idea of scrapbook, but I’m not imaginative or motivated enough to create them from scratch. I like them because they guide you with questions that I don’t think would be interesting to you or your baby later anyway (like what foods you missed during pregnancy and what your baby liked at different stages).
Print Photo Books
Today, most of our photos are on our phones and not in print form, so there is less inclination to organize them in photo albums. Consider practicing family photos or simply ask a family friend with a great camera to take some photos of your loved ones. I find that they capture my son’s personality and the dynamic of our family in a way that my cell phone photos do not.
Create Artwork Portfolios
My son is only 3 and we have a whole basket full of artwork that he brought home. I figured we can’t keep it all, so I started taking pictures of everything before I threw it away (I keep my favorites, of course). As excited as I was about this new idea, I was immediately humbled when I realized on Pinterest that I’m not the first person to think of this.
Make Video Compilations
I love revisiting old family photos, which led me to create a video compilation for my son. Ive seen many people including my friends do a compilation. She said it was pretty easy to manage. I haven’t done it yet, so I can’t say anything about the time involved, but I like the idea. Overall, this may seem like a lot of extra homework as you juggle the chaos of parenthood.…
